Coaching and Hypnosis Agreement
Clear terms for how we work together, so you know exactly what to expect before coaching begins.
Description of Coaching
Coaching is a partnership (an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process. It is intended to support the Client to maximise personal and professional potential.
Coaching is designed to facilitate the development of personal, professional, and business goals, and to support the Client to develop and carry out a strategy or plan for achieving those goals.
Coach-Client Relationship
-
Ethics and standards: The Coach agrees to maintain the ethics and standards of behaviour established by the International Coaching Federation (ICF): https://coachingfederation.org/ethics
-
Client responsibility: The Client is solely responsible for creating and implementing their own physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, decisions, choices, actions, and results arising out of, or resulting from, the coaching relationship, coaching calls, and interactions with the Coach.
-
Not therapy: The Client understands that coaching is not therapy and does not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease. A Coach is not a medical practitioner.
-
Client commitment: The Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and assistance, and create the time and energy to participate fully in the coaching program.
-
Termination right: The Client acknowledges that the Coach may terminate or discontinue the coaching relationship at any time.
-
Life scope: The Client acknowledges that coaching is a comprehensive process that may involve all aspects of their life, including work, finances, health, relationships, education, and recreation. The Client agrees that deciding how to handle these issues is exclusively the Client’s responsibility.
-
Medical care: The Client acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by applicable law, and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by medical or other qualified professionals.
Services
The parties agree to engage in a “Coaching Program/Hypnosis Program” as detailed in these terms. The Coach will be available to the Client via email between scheduled meetings, as defined by the Coach in Session 1.
The Coach may also be available to the Client, according to the Client’s needs, at an hourly or project rate confirmed during the discovery call.
Schedule and Fees
-
Fee agreement: The delivery of coaching services is charged as per the fees agreed during the discovery call. This includes coaching sessions, emails, calls, and any other services provided. At the Coach’s discretion, the Client may be eligible for a single free discovery call.
-
Session length: The length of each session is as detailed in Session Duration below.
-
Rate changes: If rates change before this agreement is accepted through acceptance of the terms and conditions, the prevailing rates apply.
Terms of Payment
-
Payment in full: Payment in full is required before coaching services are delivered, using one of the payment methods available on the coaching invoice.
-
EFT payments: Where payment is made by EFT, a payment receipt is to be emailed to the Coach at the time payment is made.
-
Cancellation transfer: At the Coach’s discretion, paid fees may be transferred to a future session date where a session is cancelled by the Client with more than 48 hours’ written notice.
-
Coach cancellation: In the extreme and unusual case where the Coach cancels a session, the fee paid by the Client will be transferred to a future session. A refund will not be issued.
-
Service suspension: The Coach may suspend services where payment has not been received.
-
Service termination: In the unlikely event that the Coach terminates service provision, all fees paid for sessions not yet delivered or consumed by the Client will be returned to the Client in full within 48 hours of written notice of service termination.
Coaching Program
Depending on the outcome the Client wishes to achieve, and the time, money, and commitment the Client is willing to honour, the type of Coaching Program is agreed during the discovery call.
-
Resource costs: The costs of all resources within the Client’s Program are included in the Coaching Fee as agreed before coaching commences and as detailed on the invoice.
-
Extra resources: Where resources are added to the Client’s Program that are considered extra to those negotiated and agreed (such as books or profiling reports), the Coach will gain the Client’s approval before providing and charging for those resources.
-
Delivery modes: The Program can include one or all of the following delivery modes: face-to-face, online, and telephone. The mode or modes of service are agreed by the Client and the Coach before service commences.
-
Email contact: Email contact between sessions is as outlined and agreed in the first coaching session.
-
Phone contact: Phone contact between sessions is as outlined and agreed in the first coaching session.
-
Session scheduling: The Coach’s diary is scheduled around booked sessions. The Client is required to provide at least 48 hours’ notice of session cancellation.
-
Non-attendance: Where a Client fails to attend a confirmed coaching session, the Client may forfeit their paid fee at the discretion of the Coach.
Session Duration
Depending on the Coaching Program agreed by the Client, session duration will vary. Session length is agreed before each session and confirmed before coaching commences.
Please always be on time for sessions. The Coach may not be able to add time to the end of a planned session where the Client arrives late.
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be issued where:
-
Non-attendance: The Client fails to attend a pre-confirmed session (in person, online, or by phone). At the discretion of the Coach, a new session time may be arranged.
-
Program termination: The Client terminates a pre-purchased program of coaching. At the discretion of the Coach, a percentage of the fee may be refunded, depending on the notice period and reason for termination.
-

-
Completed session: Upon completion of a coaching session, no refund applies.
